About Bay Area Meals On Wheels

Bay Area Meals on Wheels served its first meal on March 1, 1982 with eight clients and 52 eager volunteers. Nearly four decades later, the organization is still going strong, running on the kindness of individuals, churches, and businesses that see the importance of making sure that people who are unable to make their own meals have healthy, hot meals delivered to their home. Bay Area Meals on Wheels is an all-volunteer organization with no paid employees, chartered under the Texas Non-profit Corporation Act, with an approved tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service.

Since we have no paid employees, almost all of the financial gifts we receive go directly to our clients.
